I am Strungthru, and I run Fresh Strings Genetics!
I am currently working on a seed increase and a few crosses for some 1989 Northern Lights #5 Bx, including Exodus Cheese and Strawberry Lemon G from Saraquoia, and a special guest plant!
I just joined, and im into week 3 flower of the grow! I have documented this entire grow on Overgrow, but would like to share my grow with you guys aswell! 
I hope to meet others who share my love of this beautiful plant!

Aloha & We were gifted NL #5 in Seattle in 1979 by a friend from Ballard High School Herbie Nelson as a cutting. We worked it as it was the moneymaker with hybrid vigor and it hit the scale with good numbers too. Then I saw Nevil’s little ad in High Times so we mailed some seed to The Netherlands in 1984 and the rest of the story is high THC Cannabis history.
That’s amazing that you are part of the history of NL #5 @oldemarine ! I love this plant so much! The last one I grew out smelled like a mixture of Behlens Nitrocellulose Stringed Instrument Lacquor and Banana Boat sunscreen! It was so sticky and delicious!

It was chop day for the Plants in the grow last night! 
Big Mama NL#5Bx is in the top line, then the bottom line behind it is the Strawberry Lemon G. The top layer of the net is the Lil Mama NL and the bottom Layer is the Exodus Cheese!
This has been a very delicious smelling grow! I am happy with the seeds coming off them! These are off lil Mama!
